Chapter 4  Leading a horse

Leading a horse
A horse that follows goes only where you go. A horse that leads goes in the direction the halter is being pulled.

There are lots of horses that have been broke for years and still have never learned to lead. Instead, they have only learned to follow, which is fine if they will follow you everywhere. But most of these horses stop following when they are being asked to go somewhere they don't want to go.
