| CHAPTER
2 Equipment |

I like headstalls with a browband
and throatlatch. I have them made out of 1-inch, double
stitched leather. This also shows the snaffle I use in starting
colts; it is a Don Dodge snaffle made by Greg Darnall.

When
you are working with horses, you absolutely need GOOD
equipment, because poor equipment can easily break and get
you or the horse hurt. Buying good equipment usually means
paying a bigger price, but always remember that you get
what you pay for.
